This guide explains the purpose of the "finish designation" option available in the GESVATEC system and how to use it.
1. What is this option for?
When we mark a designation as finished, we are indicating that we no longer want to print any more labels for that designation. Therefore, we can use this option when there will be no more production from a farm.
Designations can be finished both in the Gesvatec labeling software and on the Gesvatec website.
What do we achieve by finishing a designation?
• The software does not allow printing labels for finished designations: we avoid printing labels by mistake.
• We are informing the control body that we will no longer print labels for that farm.
2. How to finish designations in the software
1. Log in to the software with your credentials and go to the Transactions screen.
2. Click the new transaction button and select the denomination or brand from the dropdown.
3. Select the designation you want to finish from the dropdown.
4. Check the "Finish designation" box.
Please note the following...
• The next time you go to the Transactions screen, the finished designation will appear with the text in blue.
• If you want a finished designation to no longer be finished, when you go to print labels you must uncheck the "Finish designation" / "Finish designations" box.
3. How to finish designations on the website
1. Log in to the private area of the website and go to the Management --> Designations page.
2. To the right of the designation you want to finish, click the (finish designation) button.
3. Confirm the message.
Please note the following...
• Finished designations will have a power-off icon.
• If you want a finished designation to no longer be finished, click the button to its right and confirm the message.
